According to Yahoo News, after the big storms and floods hit San Diego on January 22, 2024 Americans there are dealing with a lot of problems. The folks who get SNAP benefits aid are getting some extra help. The government  through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), said they can use their SNAP benefits to buy hot food until April 3.

Disaster SNAP Benefits Approved by USDA to Aid Flood-Affected Families in San Diego County

The USDA also said yes to Disaster SNAP benefits. The SNAP benefits help Americans who lost food or had it damaged because of the flood.  Getting hot meals can make things a bit easier for Americans who are going through a tough time. The SNAP benefits shows that the government cares about the Americans who are struggling the most. Along with FEMA assistance for those affected by the flood it’s all about helping Americans get back on their feet.
