According to published article of Kfor, the implementation of the Parental Choice Tax Credit in Oklahoma has sparked concerns and criticism after reports emerged that some of the funds intended for tuition assistance were being redirected to pay off outstanding debts such as unpaid taxes and student loans. The Oklahoma Tax Commission has confirmed that according to the rules of the tax credit. If an individual has outstanding obligations to the state tax authority or other qualified entities the credit payment will be reduced accordingly.
