Wisconsin Man Pleads Guilty to Firbombing Anti-Abortion Office in 2022
According to FOX, Hridindu Roychowdhury, a 29-year-old Wisconsin man admitted to throwing two Molotov cocktails through the window of Wisconsin Family Action’s Madison office in May 2022, less than a week after a draft was leaked of the decision to legalize abortion.
One of the Molotov cocktails thrown at the office by the Wisconsin man failed to ignite. However, the other one set a bookcase on fire. Moreover, the Wisconsin man also admitted to spray-painting the message on the outside of the building that says, “If abortions are not safe, then you aren’t either.” Fortunately, no one was in the office at the time the crime occurred.
Sentencing of the Wisconsin Man Scheduled on Feb 2024
The Wisconsin man signed a plea deal with prosecutors last month agreeing to a federal charge of damaging property with explosives. The agreement was approved by the US District Judge Willian Conley in a Friday hearing.
According to AP News, the Wisconsin man faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine under the charge. However, the prosecutors agreed to reduce the sentence because he had accepted the responsibility for his crime.
