A Lockport man faces animal abuse charges after footage shows him abusing bulls with an electric cattle prod.
Drone Footage Shows Lockport Man Abusing Animals
According to FOX32, a 26-year-old Lockport man, Ezequiel Herrera, has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty after a drone footage of the rodeo in the 400 block of Oak Avenue in Lockport showed that the Lockport man was using an electric cattle prod to shock the steers in the face and head of the bulls. Later on, Herrera admitted to the deputies that he used the cattle prod during the rodeo.
In connection of the event, another man named Christofer Dorado of Batavia was also charged with two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Representative of SHARK Sent Detective Drone Footage of Animal Abuse of the Lockport Man
According to WGNTV, a representative from the animal rights organization Showing Animals Respect and Kindness, also known as SHARK, has provided the detectives the drone footage of animal abuse of the Lockport man that occurred at the rodeo.
SHARK has also been using drones to capture shocking animal abuses at private rodeos held in a number of counties around the Chicago area.
The Lockport man, Herrera, is scheduled to appear in court on December 15.
