The Convair Model 49 is a transformer vehicle. It is a mixture of a jet, a tank, and an attack helicopter. The invention of the Convair Model 49 was meant to be an all-around assault that would help the U.S. and its allies winning the Vietnam War.

The Convair Model 49 Was Never Produced
According to Slash Gear, the Convair Model 49 was actually never produced no matter how revolutionary it is. The Conbair Model 49 was said its model canceled due to the theory that it would be lost to the more traditional-looking craft that is the Lockheed AH-56A Cheyennee.
Moreover, one of the many reasons why the Convair Model 49 was never produced is due to it was not a practical craft for military operations. The Convair Model 49’s transformation, takeoff, and landing procedures would require a lot of time as it is slower than traditional helicopters.
