Residents of Louisiana will get their final payment for July from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program on Sunday.
$1,691 Will be Released Soon to Louisiana Residents
In a published article by Washington Examiner, the total amount of the month’s last payment will not exceed $1,691. Louisiana residents receive their direct SNAP payments, often known as food stamps, from the first through the 23rd of every month, according to the state’s Department of Children and Family Services.
Data from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities show that in fiscal 2022, 822,600 Louisianans, or almost 20% of the state’s population, received food stamps. In addition, each household member pays an average of $192 per month.
The maximum payment available to an eight-person household is $1,691, whereas the maximum payment available to a three-person home is $740. Each extra member of SNAP costs an additional $211.

Food Stamps Through Electronic Transfer Card
An electronic benefits transfer card, which functions similarly to a debit card at the checkout counter in grocery stores, is available for use by active SNAP users, allowing them to access their monthly benefit amount. For the fiscal year 2023, the current payment schedule began on October 1 and will finish on September 30.
The number of food stamps given out each month depends on the size and income of the household as well as a number of other elements, including the state where the recipient lives. Additional options for SNAP benefits and other aid are available through the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Assistance.
