The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue wants to help older people and those with disabilities, according to the published article of North Central. They’re giving out money through the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program. If you’re eligible you can get money back for the property taxes or rent you paid last year. They raised the income limit to $45,000 this year so more people can apply and get up to $1,000 back.
Lots of Americans have already applied this year about 209,000! The Department of Revenue expects to approve most of them for payment starting on July 1, 2024. This is good news for eligible folks aged 65 and up, widows and widowers over 50, and people with disabilities over 18. But remember, you need to apply before June 30, 2024, to get your rebate.
