According to Fox 13 Seattle, A sad update in the case of Reyna Hernandez from Renton: she was found dead in Mexicali, Mexico last week. Authorities confirmed the news on Monday. Reyna had been missing since February 26, and her body was discovered near the Tijuana Highway. Renton Police worked with Mexican officials to identify her.
A 61-year-old man from Renton, believed to be Reyna’s partner, was arrested in Mexicali on different charges and is now a suspect in her murder. Reports suggest signs of torture, with Reyna being tied up, shot in the head, and covered in a blanket. The police are working with Mexicali and U.S. authorities to figure out when and where Reyna was killed.
