Milwaukee is found to be the most dangerous city in Wisconsin out of 147 cities studied by RoadSnacks. This means that there are a lot of violent and property crimes happening there. On the other hand, Geneva Town is the safest city in Wisconsin. Even though some places in Wisconsin are safer than others, overall, Wisconsin is the 38th most dangerous state in the United States.

10 Most Danger-Prone Cities in Wisconsin
Milwaukee
Milwaukee is the most dangerous city in Wisconsin. It’s big and has a lot of crime especially violent and property crimes. In 2022 there were many cases of murder, rape, robbery, and assault. Property crime, like burglary, also happens a lot there.
Sparta
Sparta is another city in Wisconsin, is also dangerous. Even though it’s smaller than Milwaukee it still has a fair amount of violent and property crimes. Sparta has seen an increase in violent crimes like rape and assault.
Grand Chute
Grand Chute near Appleton is another risky place to live in Wisconsin. Although it’s not as bad as some other place there are still frequent property crimes like burglary.
Beloit
Beloit is not far from Madison one of the top five dangerous cities in Wisconsin. It’s known for both violent and property crimes including theft and car theft. There were also quite a few murders in Beloit in 2022.
La Crosse
La Crosse near Mississippi River is a trade area with its share of crime. Property crimes like theft and car theft happen often in La Crosse.
Glendale
Glendale similar to Milwaukee but smaller still has a lot of crime. While it’s getting slightly better property crimes are still high in Glendale.
Rapids
Wisconsin Rapids is known for papermaking and one of the most dangerous places to live in Wisconsin. It has a high overall crime rate especially for violent crimes like assault.
Brown Deer
Brown Deer near Milwaukee is known for having a lot of property crimes. Locking things up is a good idea there as theft is common.
West Allis
West Allis another suburb of Milwaukee has high rates of both violent and property crimes. Burglary and car theft are particularly common there.
