Reminder: Eating Better Helps, but Keep Getting Medical Help

Eating healthier, like having soy, nuts, beans, and whole grains, might be good for those who’ve had breast cancer, says Johns Hopkins University. In 22 studies, having 60mg of soy isoflavones every day made the chance of breast cancer coming back go down by 26%. This shows that picking good foods could be helpful for those who’ve had breast cancer.

The study of UPI also talked about seeds, nuts, and green tea. Stuff from seeds, called enterolactone, made the chance of dying from breast cancer go down by 28%. Drinking lots of green tea also meant a 44% lower chance of breast cancer coming back for those treated early on. So, these things might be good to include in your meals.

Even though eating better is good, it’s not the same as going to the doctor. The study reminds us to have a mix of good food and regular medical care for the best results. This is especially important for those who’ve had breast cancer.
