A murder suspect has been captured by the Columbus Police Department, marking a significant development nearly two years after a fatal shooting at a Dollar General store. Charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime against 19-year-old Kentarius Cooper are currently pending in relation to the event that resulted in the death of 27-year-old Gary Brown. After a shooting incident on February 14, 2022, at the Dollar General on Amber Drive, where Gary Brown sustained a gunshot wound to the head, officers responded promptly.
