The Montgomery County Job and Family Services (JFS) confirmed that there has been an increase in benefits being stolen electronically in Montgomery County and other areas. This problem affects people who get EBT, SNAP, or cash benefits.
If you are affected, you should contact your local agency to get a new card. Residents in Montgomery County need to call the JFS investigation and recovery unit at 937-225-6035 to start the process of getting their benefits replaced. Ohio now has a way to replace benefits that were stolen electronically, and victims must apply for replacement benefits and request a new EBT card through their county agency.
