$275 Payment Awaits: Michigan Residents to Receive Compensation from $1 Million Settlement Over Unauthorized Data Sharing

Michigan residents might get $275 each from this settlement.

Charter Financial Publishing Network Agrees to $1 Million Settlement for Sharing Subscriber Information Without Permission – Allowing Eligible Michigan Residents to Claim $275 Payments.

According to the published article in  The US Sun News, Americans might get a big payment of $275 from a $1 million settlement. Charter Financial Publishing Network has agreed to this because they shared subscriber information without permission, breaking Michigan’s privacy laws. Michigan residents who subscribed to their publications before July 31, 2016, or had their subscription details shared without permission between April 25 and July 30, 2016, can get this payment without having to apply.

The settlement is set for final approval on June 26, 2024. It comes after a lawsuit about privacy under Michigan’s laws. Other companies, like Roper St. Francis Healthcare and Avem Health Partners, are also in trouble for similar things. This shows how important it is to protect Michigan residents’s private information better.
