Sacramento County Families Receive $725 Monthly Payment
Family First Sacramento Pilot Program Aims to Boost Financial Stability
According to the U.S. Sun, the Family First Sacramento pilot program is giving $725 monthly payments to about 200 families in Sacramento County, California. These families must have kids under five who are American Indian, African American, or Alaska Native. They also need to earn less than twice the federal poverty level and live in certain zip codes like Valley High and Florin, North Sacramento, Del Paso Heights, and Arden Arcade. The families chosen for monthly payments will be decided by a random lottery, and the monthly payments will start in July.
This monthly payment program aims to help families who don’t have a lot of money and live in certain areas. By giving them monthly payments for a year it hopes to make things easier for them. It’s especially for families with young kids, to make sure they have what they need to grow up healthy and happy. The lottery system makes sure that everyone has a fair chance of getting help no matter where they live or who they are.
