According to Buck Rail, good news for Wyoming homeowners! The property tax refund program is now accepting applications. Governor Mark Gordon and the Legislature added $20 million to help more people. Now those with low incomes can get help too.

Last year over 9,000 families got property tax refunds totaling $8 million. The application process is easy. You can apply online or get forms from the County Treasurer’s office. Expanded Eligibility Provides Relief for More Wyoming Homeowners

Furthermore, with the passing of House Bill 4 eligibility criteria have expanded offering relief to homeowners with household incomes up to 145 percent of the median for their county or the statewide median whichever is higher. This property tax refund move aims to alleviate financial burdens on more Wyoming residents ensuring that those struggling with property taxes can access the support they need to maintain their homes and communities.
