Sacramento County Launches Family First Sacramento Pilot to Assist Low-Income Families
Sacramento County’s Family First Initiative: Providing Financial Relief to Vulnerable Communities
Sacramento County is helping 200 low-income families with a new program called Family First Sacramento Pilot, according to the published article of The US Sun. Families can get $725 each month for a year totaling $8,700. The program wants to help Native American and African American families who don’t earn much money. It’s a partnership with United Way California Capital Region and is funded by Sacramento County.
To qualify, families must have children aged five or younger. These zip codes are areas where families struggle the most. The program will choose families through a lottery system. Payments are expected to start in July giving families a chance to improve their finances and well-being.

Sacramento County hopes this program will help families and make the community stronger.
