West Virginia Police recently arrested the husband of a missing Florida woman who is 39 years old months after she was found dead on the side of a Florida road.

According to Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, on January 19, 2024, the mother of the missing Florida woman reported that her daughter missing after she failed to come to work at a local hotel. Police authorities learned Amber Estep was last seen by her husband, Brian Estep, on Jan. 16, 2024, after leaving a medical appointment.
During an interview with the husband of the missing Florida woman, Brian Estep said to the police investigators he and his wife got into a fight while driving from a medical appointment. Brian Estep allegedly accused his wife of cheating on him, and she slapped him before telling him to let her out. Brian Estep said he dropped her off along I-95, just north of State Road 50.
Brian Estep said he begged his wife to get back into the car but in the end, drove away. The police later found Brian Estep’s vehicle engulfed in flames.

The missing Florida woman sustained head trauma and multiple gunshot wounds
On Jan. 20, 2024, the missing Florida woman’s remains were found off State Route 46 near Pit Bull Lane, and police found blood in a nearby wooded area that contained Amber Estep’s DNA. Police allege Brian Estep killed his wife, moved her body, and discarded her remains where she was ultimately found.
The husband of the missing Florida woman reportedly moved to West Virginia, where he was arrested without bond. He will be transferred to Florida to face charges of first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm and tampering with evidence relating to a capital felony in connection with the missing Florida woman, who is his wife.
