The government says there’s over $58 million waiting to be claimed by Americans in Florida alone. This money is what they call a “tax refund” and it belongs to around 53,200 Americans in Florida. The IRS handle taxes says the average refund could be about $891 for each person, according to Tallahasse Democrat published article.
The IRS is telling Americans not to wait too long to claim their money. They say there’s a deadline of May 17, 2024 to get your 2020 tax refund. That’s because sometimes Americans forget they’re owed money especially with all the unusual things happening because of COVID-19. So, it’s essential to check if you’re one of the many who could get some extra cash back from the government.
