Janie Landry, who leads the Downtown Development Authority, thinks more buildings there could get fixed up soon. Officials Eye Historic Building Renovations in Downtown Shreveport for Tax Credits

She found out that officials from the National Park Service and Louisiana Office of Historic Preservation visited. They’re looking at projects that want tax credits for fixing up historic buildings. This is a big deal for downtown, says Landry. Also, companies in movies and TV are getting more interested in downtown Shreveport.
