According to wbay.com, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin a man named Douglas T. Murphy got in big trouble. He got nine years in jail for having a gun even though he wasn’t allowed to. Last summer he committed a firearm offense because he pointed a gun at kids in a house downtown. He also committed firearm offense to his girlfriend and hit her on the head really hard.

The police came fast when the kids called for help. They surrounded the house for almost six hours. Finally the special police team went in and caught Murphy with the gun he used in committing firearm offense. He’s been in trouble before in other places like Waukesha, Manitowoc, and Winnebago Counties. Now Murphy has to spend a long time in jail. After that he still has to be watched for three more years. Americans in Oshkosh are happy that the police caught him and hope everyone stays safe.
