According to True Crime Daily, in a tragic turn of events a 29-year-old mother arrested from Greensboro, North Carolina, faces second-degree murder charges following the devastating loss of three of her children in a house fire that occurred on December 12, 2022. Responding to reports of a structure fire at 2518 Grimsley St., authorities discovered the lifeless bodies of the victims, including a 4-year-old and two 1-year-old twins who were trapped inside the residence and succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. Investigations led by the Greensboro Police Department mother arrested unveiled disturbing details about the circumstances surrounding the fire. Allegedly, the mother arrested, Brandi Sturdivant was not present at home during the early hours when the fire broke out. Surveillance footage and witness accounts indicated that she sought help from neighbors upon noticing the smoke and flames later explaining to authorities that she had left the children alone to keep warm using the stove in the living room instead of utilizing the baseboard heat.

Shockingly, the tragedy deepened as autopsy results revealed that one of the deceased children had cocaine in their system. This revelation added a grim dimension to the already heartbreaking case.
