The Homeowners Property Tax Credit Program sets a limit on property taxes based on income offering much needed relief. Residents who paid their property taxes can still apply for the 2024 Tax credit.
Maryland’s Renters’ Property Tax Credit Program Offers Financial Assistance to Eligible Renters
The Renters Property Tax Credit Program offers 2024 tax credits to eligible renters facing high monthly rent compared to their income with direct check payments of up to $1,000 annually. Renters can apply online, with the department also sending out postcards to inform eligible renters who have not yet applied.
