According to FOX 5 KUSINEWS, after the big storm and flooding in late January the USDA is offering 1 month D-SNAP benefits to Americans in San Diego who lost food or had it damaged. Low-income families can apply for the 1 month D-SNAP benefits to get food support. The USDA wants to make sure families affected by the storm can still get the food they need so they’re providing the 1 month D-SNAP benefits.

1 Month D-SNAP Benefits, Rule Adjustments, and Enhanced Meal Programs for San Diego Flood Recovery

Americans who qualify for the 1 month D-SNAP benefits will get food help for one month like the most they’d usually get from the food aid program. The application for this help will be open on certain days in March giving a chance for those in need to sign up. Along with 1 month D-SNAP benefits the USDA is also doing other things to help like replacing lost benefits, changing rules for meal programs and making it easier for kids and adults to get meals. All of this shows they’re trying to help in different ways during this tough time of recovery.
