According to RoadSnacks, Alexandria dangerous neighborhoods are safest and which may have issues.  10 neighborhoods to determine which ones needed more attention to be as nice as the rest of the city. Alexandria includes hipster and college student neighborhoods but not all are safe. The safest neighborhood is Potomac Yard-Potomac Greens.

10 Alexandria Dangerous Neighborhoods

Seminary Hill

Seminary Hill with 22,510 residents, is one of the poorest communities due to its typical house value of $452,642 and median income of $115,101. It also has 190 violent crimes per 100,000 people increasing safety concerns.

Fairlington-Bradlee

Smaller area with 617 inhabitants with a violent crime rate of 382 per 100,000 and a property crime rate of 9,036 per 100,000 showing serious security problems. The typical property value is $463,550 but the median income is $142,768, indicating economic instability.

King St Metro

With 679 residents, has safety and economic issues. The 525 violent crime rate and 4,982 property crime rate indicate a need for security enhancements. With a typical house value of $521,200 and income of $124,989, people may struggle with affordability and safety.

Landmark-Van Dom

With 28,354 people has a median house value of $319,643 and a typical income of $100,175 showing economic hardship. Although violent crime is reduced at 183 per 100,000 population property crime is still high at 1,571 per 100,000 underscoring the need for increased security.

Alexandria Wrest

The biggest neighborhood with 30,816 residents is the poorest. Property crime of 1,364 per 100,000 population raises safety concerns despite a lower violent crime rate of 175 per 100,000.

Eisenhower East

Has 4,855 inhabitants with a typical house value of $497,433 and income of $115,295, showing modest economic stability. With 180 violent crimes per 100,000 people and 2,538 property crimes per 100,000 residents, the community struggles to keep residents safe.

Taylor Run

With 6,734 residents has a typical house value of $625,840 and a median income of $130,067 indicating economic stability. However violent crime rates of 143 and property crime rates of 1,859 per 100,000 population raise safety concerns.

Old Town North

Typical house value of $547,400 and income of $114,215, suffers economic issues. Despite its historical charm and attraction, the area struggles with security despite a 262 violent crime rate and 2,930 property crime rate.

Northeast Alexandria

With a typical house value of $717,400 and income of $130,212, 2,163-person Northeast Alexandria is economically stable. With 192 violent crimes per 100,000 people and 2,163 property crimes per 100,000 residents, safety issues remain and security measures are needed.

Southwest Wuadrant

Southwest Wuadrant, with 3,148 inhabitants, has economic issues. Property crime of 1,406 per 100,000 households shows neighborhood safety issues despite a lower violent crime rate of 123 per 100,000.
