Terrifying Night Unfolds as Mother and Child Escape Henry County Gun Violence
The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle-shot distress call at 2:25 a.m. Lawson was found in body armor at the front of a home by deputies.
A disturbing scene showed a mom and her five-year-old child fleeing the chaotic situation. Lawson fired rifle and handgun rounds at the fleeing vehicle in a frantic attempt to stop them.
A gunshot wound to the head forced the woman to be sent to a Winston-Salem hospital. Her injuries were non-life-threatening, and the youngster survived the trauma.

Lawson’s Home Searched as Allegations of Attempted Murder Land Him Behind Bars Without Bond
The unsettling scene increased when investigators searched Lawson’s home and found firearms. Lawson is in the Patrick County Jail without bond due to the nature of the issue.
Due to his violent conduct, he faces allegations of attempted first-degree murder, emphasizing the necessity for legal intervention and justice.
