In a terrifying domestic altercation on Trent Store Lane in Henry County, Virginia, 23-year-old Dustin Lee Lawson faces attempted first-degree murder and other weapons counts.
Terrifying Night Unfolds as Mother and Child Escape Henry County Gun Violence
The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle-shot distress call at 2:25 a.m. Lawson was found in body armor at the front of a home by deputies.
A disturbing scene showed a mom and her five-year-old child fleeing the chaotic situation. Lawson fired rifle and handgun rounds at the fleeing vehicle in a frantic attempt to stop them.
A gunshot wound to the head forced the woman to be sent to a Winston-Salem hospital. Her injuries were non-life-threatening, and the youngster survived the trauma.

Lawson’s Home Searched as Allegations of Attempted Murder Land Him Behind Bars Without Bond
