Local Business Are Warned for Fake Money Modus
A woman used fake money at the local business Milk & Cookies. She bought garments with a $100 bill that wasn’t real and received $80 in real cash in return. The store’s owner, Ana Garcia, remarked, at her aunt’s company, Twinkies Boutique, Garcia asserts that the same client attempted to pass the counterfeit money. Garcia stated it was difficult to discern that the money was phony. It’s a huge hit for them since it would take some time as a thrift business to get that much money. The proprietor of that store saw the fake money and turned it down, which made the woman depart.
Uncertainty surrounds the arrest status of the criminal who targeted Milk & Cookies. The woman’s identity was kept a secret by officials. “You go on the dark web and you can buy stacks of these,” Detective Javier Cabrera of the Riverside Police Department stated. Cabrera said that robbers frequently purchase fake money on the underground market. Additionally, they use top-notch printers to bleach lesser banknotes and convert them to greater denominations.
