One of the Royal Navy’s most advanced warships, HMS Prince of Wales, has waved goodbye to Old Portsmouth and went to Stateside for the autumn trials.
HMS Prince of Wales Sets Sail After Year-Long Delay
Many families have gathered in Old Portsmouth to watch the HMS Prince of Wales depart as it sailed for the USA earlier this month.
According to The News from Portsmouth, HMS Prince of Wales’s departure, earlier this month was the first sail of the ship after over a year, following the problem HMS Prince of Wales encountered with the portside and starboard side propeller shafts.
The HMS Prince of Wales will be ready to embark equipment, supplies, and stores vital to support the Royal Navy.

HMS Prince of Wales to Undergo Three-Stage Trial Period for Enhanced Strike Mission Capability
DVIDSHUB reports that the HMS Prince of Wales will have a three-stage trial period involving both crewed and uncrewed aircraft, and the first stage is due to start.
The aim of the three stages of trials is said to increase the ability of the HMS Prince of Wales to carry out strike missions in harsher weather. The HMS Prince of Wales drone tests have been carried out off the coast of Cornwall.
The HMS Prince of Wales will undergo ten-day trials to refine its abilities, including crash tests, firefighting, refueling, and helicopter operations.
