According to SPACE, Neptune and Uranus are currently in a favorable position in the night sky, providing a great opportunity to observe their stunning appearance. This week is particularly ideal for viewing them as the bright moon won’t interfere for the entire week.
Currently, Neptune and Uranus are shining in the clear night sky at magnitude +5.7, which is a large scale that represents dimmer objects.
When and How Can You See Neptune and Uranus?
According to the same article, Neptune and Uranus are available for people to see in the night sky this entire week.
But how can you see Neptune and Uranus?
It is best to study Neptune and Uranus with the use of binoculars. Using binoculars, Neptune and Uranus will be visible if you spot a star-like object with a pale green tinge and blue tinge. However, if you use a telescope with 150 power, you should be able to see a tiny featureless disk.
SPACE reports that Neptune and Uranus likely have a rocky surrounded by a liquid mantle of water core. Thus, Neptune and Uranus are easier to spot due to their mantle which makes the color pale-ish green and blue, respectively.
