Ukrainian adoptee has been charged with the suspected deaths of his American parents, who rescued him from a dreadful orphanage.
Two Counts of Murder Charged Against the Adopted Son Who Killed His Step-parents
According to authorities in North Port, Florida, Dima Tower, a 21-year-old has been arrested on two counts of murder. He was apprehended Friday morning, eight hours after allegedly fleeing the home where his adoptive parents, Robbie, and Jennifer Tower, were murdered. Robbie, 49, and Jennifer, 51, are said to have been stabbed to death. According to WINK-TV, police responding to a call of a disturbance at the home saw them lying head-to-head in a pool of blood in their living room.
According to the New York Post, Dima, then 14, was adopted from Ukraine by the Towers seven years ago after his original mother died and he was abandoned by his alcoholic father. According to the post, “These were two good, caring people,” Robbie’s uncle, Warren Rines, said of the departed couple. “It just doesn’t make sense; none of us understand the hatred.” “They were the only two people in his life who had ever attempted to assist him,” Rines concluded. “They treated him like he was their son.”

Couple Murdered by Their Adoptee
The Towers decided to adopt Dima after struggling with infertility. Rines stated that the couple rescued the boy from the orphanage’s deplorable surroundings. “He would have bruises on him in the orphanage,” Rines remembered, according to the Post. “Whenever they went out to eat, he’d order six hot dogs. He wasn’t getting much food. These orphanages are like children’s jails.” Rines stated that when he first met Dima, the kid expressed an interest in boxing.
“But he didn’t want to box,” Rines said. “He desired to strike. “He wanted to hurt,” he alleged, adding that the suspect “already had a lot of hatred in him.” Dima was sent away to live with family on his adoptive mother’s side three years ago after a domestic altercation, but he soon came home. “That’s how much he (Robbie) loved him,” Rines remarked. “He was forgiven for everything.” They purchased him a car and whatever else he desired or required.” According to jail records, Dima will be arraigned on November 3. It’s unknown whether he hired an attorney to speak on his behalf.
