Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center to Upgrade Infrastructure with $1.6 Billion Budget
The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center has recently announced their commitment to a significant undertaking with a substantial budget of $1.6 billion. This project is scheduled to take place over the course of fiscal years 2023 through 2027.
According to military reports, the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center intends to improve their infrastructure by upgrading dormitories and child development centers. This will enhance the quality of life for Airmen, guardians, and their families, while also providing safer, more modern, and functional child development centers for children.

Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center Reveals Their Project
According to the reports from Mirage News, the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center reveals their ongoing and future projects of 61 installations of infrastructures and renovations.
The Dorm Response Program, led by the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, aims to renovate 170 dormitories designated for permanent party personnel, including Airmen and Guardians. The project’s budget is set at $76 million and is presently in the design phase.
Additionally, there are plans to renovate 14 large dormitories with a budget of $227 million in FY24 and build 19 new Child Care Centers with a fund of $205 million. Priority will be given to centers located at JB San Antonio and Sheppard AFB in Texas, Scott AFB in Illinois, and Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Five Child Care Centers are also planned with a budget of $167 million.
