Regardless of whether you’re a seasoned travel enthusiast or prefer to stay close to home, you likely engage in a significant amount of travel more often than you realize.
Learn How You Can Travel Without Leaving The Comfort of Your Home
It may come as a surprise, but it is important to note that even while remaining indoors, one is still, in a sense, engaged in traveling.
Based on SPACE reports, considering Earth as a vehicle, humans can travel farther than their typical lifespan travel distance of 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Humans can travel a full circle every 24 hours by hitching a ride on Earth as our planet revolves on its axis and rotates as a single rigid body.
According to the article, the study excludes individuals living in the northern and southern regions who can only spin in circles. However, those residing on the equator experience significant travel due to the Earth’s rotation.

Not only are we traveling on Earth, but other galaxies like Andromeda and Milky Way are also moving. Interestingly, both universes are heading towards the Virgo cluster, a massive set of galaxies over 65 million light-years away.
As galaxies move, astronomers can determine their combined motion and calculate their total velocity through the universe. This results in a velocity of approximately 390 miles per second. Over the course of an 80-year lifespan, this adds up to a total distance traveled of 930 billion miles.
Whether you leave your home or not, you will still have traveled a great distance, which is already an impressive achievement!
