The United States government has recently issued a stern warning to the military Junta in Niger, cautioning them that there will be severe consequences if they do not take the necessary steps to restore constitutional order.

As per the report by Midday, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller announced that the acting secretary had recently conducted meetings with prominent leaders, wherein he conveyed a crucial message to the Military Junta in Niger. The notice served as a warning to the Junta and urged them to return to constitutional order. Furthermore, the acting secretary emphasized that the Junta could opt for a diplomatic path to resolve the ongoing crisis. Mr. Miller shared these developments during a press conference held yesterday.
Stating further, the Military Junta in Niger must negotiate with the concerned group or face severe consequences, including harm to the country and its citizens and further destabilization of the region.
