Los Angeles County is starting cheap high-speed internet service for people with little money helping them stay connected online for as low as $25 a month. It is essential because many struggle with higher internet bills as government help runs out.

Los Angeles County Launches Affordable High-Speed Internet Service Initiative

According to KTLA 5Los Angeles County is starting its high-speed internet service to help people with little money. This high-speed internet service will be available in South L.A., East L.A., and Boyle Heights. It’s part of a plan called Community Broadband Networks where the county teams up with private companies to offer affordable internet.

With this new high-speed internet service, people can get internet very fast. Even if someone has unlimited money, they can still get internet for as low as $25 a month. To qualify, they must have a household income below 200% of the federal poverty line or receive government benefits like SNAP or Medicaid.

It’s a big help, especially now when many people face higher internet bills because government programs to help with costs are running out of money.
