The police officers arrested Pearches Stergo in January and pleaded guilty after three months.
Peaches Stergo defraud the 87-year-old man with over $2.8 million which was his lifesaving. The old man gave money to Peaches Stergo and said the funds had been deposited into her TD Bank account but the record showed she never received any money from an injury settlement. She continued her lies and created a fake email for TD Bank employee.
Peaches Stergo always demanded the old man to deposit money into her bank account. A total of 62 checks were deposited into her account. According to the prosecutors, the suspect visited the old man’s residence in New York as a nanny from Florida. The old man never imagined that he will experience this kind of heartless betrayal he only wanted for companionship.
