This consumer was informed they would receive a letter detailing the bank account cancellation, like many others. That letter never arrived, they said. A phone call yielded partial results. A woman informed them that they had violated their terms and conditions but refused to elaborate. Banks are private companies that can terminate client agreements without justification. A remedy was proposed by a Barclays employee. “They told me I must prove where the money came from to get it. I’ll get those documents and send them.” Even with a plan, it would take time.
