Honoring Military Veterans for Wreaths Across America

Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Yuma, Arizona, reverently held a wreath-laying ceremony on National Wreaths Across America Day to honor military veterans and honor the mission to ‘Remember, Honor, Teach‘ while honoring their brave service.

A Solemn Commemoration

The ceremony at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery honored the service and sacrifices of those who answered the call of duty in a solemn and grateful crowd. Chris Morse, Yuma’s Deputy Mayor, spoke movingly about honoring and preserving the memory of those who died for the nation.

The ceremony, which included the laying of eight wreaths for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, and 92,129 POW/MIA soldiers, honored servicemen and women for their bravery and dedication.

Embracing the spirit of ‘Remember, Honor, Teach,’ the event highlighted the solemn duty to honor veterans and their stories and selfless contributions in the nation’s collective memory.

A Personal Touch of Remembrance

Family and friends of fallen soldiers laid wreaths on their headstones as a touching post-ceremony tribute to their sacrifice and service to the country.

Beyond a single commemoration, the event symbolizes a collective commitment to honor military veterans‘ courage, sacrifice, and honor, ensuring their legacy lives on in the community and nation.
