5. North Mountain: Larceny, theft, and car theft are prevalent property crimes in concentrated regions of this one of the worst locations, with a population of 170,000 and a crime rate 102% over the national average.

6. Camelback East: Popular with visitors, overall crime rate 95% above national average, property theft, vandalism, and sporadic assaults, larger concentration in western and southern areas.

7. Maryvale: Northwest of Central City, population 208,189, crime rate 77% over national average, revitalizing, still struggling with property crimes, mainly house and car theft.

8. Estrella: Suburban neighborhood with high crime rates, population 90,255, overall crime rate 60% above national average, larceny, vandalism, burglary, auto theft, and assault, certain places more hazardous at night.

9. Laveen: Southwest of Downtown Phoenix, population 48,021, 52% over national average, numerous violent occurrences, complains regarding police presence.

10. New Village: Small suburban hamlet with 5,700 residents, somewhat higher crime than Phoenix average, overall safety, property crime and car theft reduced by a strong community watch program.
