Diet Coke, Sprite, and Fanta Orange drink cans from 2,000 cases are being called back by Coca-Cola because they may contain “foreign material.”
FDA Investigates ‘Foreign Material’ in Coca-Cola: Recalls Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta Packs
The Food and Drug Administration has not yet responded to the query posed by CBS; hence, it is still unclear what the potential “foreign material” is or what hazards it presents to consumers. Recalls are been issued for 12-packs of Diet Coke, Fanta Orange, and Sprite that have the following lot numbers and best-by dates:
- Diet Coke with the lot number JAN2924MBD3, the UPC 49000028911, and the “best-by” date of January 29, 2024.
- Lot numbers for Fanta Orange are UL2924MBD3 and UPC 49000030730. The best-by date is July 29, 2024.
- Lot number JUL2924MBD3, UPC 49000028928, and “best-by” date July 29, 2024 for Sprite.
