A 13-year-old boy in Ohio is being charged with a crime after reportedly making “a detailed plan” for a September mass shooting at a sanctuary.

According to ABC News crime report, Ohio boy J.R., who was 13 years old at the time, was charged in September with making other people afraid and acting in a rude way. He was charged with those things. The charges against him were made public because it was said that he planned to kill many people at Temple Israel in Canton. Because of the specific threats that were sent to police through the game website Discord, the teenager was arrested. Investigators from Discord’s Counter-Extremism team found the user and removed their posts before giving them to the FBI. It is likely that they will keep looking into this. Additionally, information about the approach that was used was shared with the school system. While the event happened before the war, it happened after the fight between Israel and Hamas. This is important to remember because more hate crimes have been committed against Jews and Muslims in the US since the war. The minor is expected to show up in court for the very first time on December 20th. The priest decided not to say anything about it because there was a child involved.
