A guy from Detroit, 28 years old, was charged and tried on Wednesday with the murder of well-known church leader Samantha Woll.
According to FOX 2 Detroit crime report, Michael Manuel Jackson-Bolanos is being charged with many crimes related to the tragic death of synagogue leader Samantha Woll. These include first-degree murder, breaking and entering, and lying to a peace officer. The attacker went into Woll’s apartment in Detroit on October 21 after a fight and fatally stabbed her, according to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, who told the press about the incident. A few hours later, Woll’s body was found outside of her apartment. Neighbors found it. But Jackson-Bolanos was later let go after being arrested for separate car break-ins near the crime scene. Nevertheless, he was arrested again this week when police found a link between them and the murder. Even though he said he wasn’t guilty, he was sent back to jail without bail. Attorney Brian Brown for Jackson-Bolanos says that the suspect will have a strong case because he has served jail time in the past. The police have said that there is no evidence that the suspect had any kind of connection to Woll in the past. This means that hatred could not have been the cause of the crime. Even more sad was the fact that Woll had a successful career that included working with well-known Democrats before her sudden death as head of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue.
The case had been going on for almost two months.
