A Florida woman reportedly lied to the police officials that the Christmas presents of her children were stolen. However, she was arrested after her “Grinch-like plot” fell apart.
Florida Woman Arrested for Falsely Reporting to the Law Enforcement
According to FOX News, a 39-year-old Florida woman, Shana Hudson, called the deputies on Nov. 19 and reported a residential burglary in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
The office of the Lee County Sheriff has stated that the Florida woman claimed that someone had stolen several of her items from her home, including the Christmas presents for her children. She then stated that the children would not be getting any presents for the holidays.

Deputies Investigate False Report, Coordinates Donation of Presents for the Florida Woman and Her Family
According to AOL, upon receiving a call from the Florida woman, the detectives investigated the case and also coordinated a donation from the Lehigh Acres American Legion, as well as funds from the sheriff’s Shop With a Cop, in order to surprise the family of the Florida woman with a new presents.
However, the detectives found out that the Florida woman lied about the burglary report. Moreover, the detectives also found out that the reported stolen items were hidden at the home of a family member.
