The California Franchise Tax Board announced that around 32 million Californians benefited from the Middle Class Tax Refund.

The Golden State has released a series of financial aids to its residents to ensure that they are financially stable during the pandemic. This time, Californians will receive another Middle Class Tax Refund to combat the rising inflation rate.
In a published article in MARCA, around 32 million Californians and their dependents will benefit from this program, according to the California Franchise Tax Board. Moreover, payments have been issued, but other payments need review.

Eligibility for the Middle Class Tax Refund
The California Franchise Tax Board said that not all will qualify for the Middle Class Tax Refund. Here are some qualifications:
- You filed your 2020 tax return by October 15, 2021.
- You meet the California adjusted gross income (CA AGI) limits.
- Were not eligible to be claimed as a dependent in the 2020 tax year
- Was a California resident for six months or more of tax year 2020.
- Is a California resident on the date the payment is issued.
Furthermore, those who did not receive the Middle Class Tax Refund by February 14, 2023 should check their bank account to see if there is a payment from “FTB MCT REFUND MCT REFUND” as a depositor.
