Search Ends For 9-Month-Old Conrad Sheils Who Was Swept Away During Severe Flooding In SE Pennsylvania

The active search has ended for a 9-month-old Conrad Sheils who was swept away in a flash flood in Southeast Pennsylvania. After 12 days of searching, they found the body in the Delaware River.

The Police Department has ended the search for 9-month-old Conrad Sheils who was swept away during severe flash flooding, along with six others. The search has lasted two weeks since Sheils’s family got caught in the floodwaters on July 15. The 9-month-old Conrad Sheils with his 2-year-old sister Matilda Sheils and their mother 32-year-old Katie Seley vanished as the family tried to escape from intense flooding that hit their family’s car when a violent storm slammed Bucks County Pennsylvania.

The 2-year-old Matilda’s body was found on Friday in the Delaware River and the mother’s body was previously found. According to Sara Smart and Nouran Salahieh, CNN, the local authorities have announced the search for 9-month-old Conrad Sheils had ended. The Makefield Township Police Department felt ‘with broken hearts’ and regretfully announced the search for Conrad has concluded. For more than one week they conducted a massive search for 9-month-old Conrad Sheils with the efforts of hundreds of personnel, drones, boats, K9s, divers, sonar, and air assets.

The Sheils Family were driving when the flash flooding hit their car and while they were attempting to escape the mother and grandmother grabbed Conrad and Matilda, while the father grabbed the 4-year-old brother both of them made it to safety and were treated at a hospital. But the mother and grandmother with the two children were swept away.
