Gen. Charles Flynn Says China is Using Allied Exercises to Find Soft Targets
According to Real Clear Defense, Gen. Charles Flynn has stated that Chinese jets have been flying near Taiwan and Chinese fishing vessels are swarming off the Philippines. Moreover, the General also stated that China is also conducting aggressive acts beneath the threshold of armed conflict on land.
Gen. Charles Flynn stated at the Irregular Warfare Forum that China has been closely monitoring US exercises with regional partners such as Indonesia and the Philippines as they grow in size and scope, stating that China is finding soft targets.

China Gathers Information on How the US Fights in Possible Pacific War, Gen. Charles Flynn Says
According to Defense One, the operations that China are conducting is to gather information about how the US might fight for a possible Pacific war with China – Philippines. Moreover, they also seek ways to drive wedges between Washington and its other regional partners.
Gen. Charles Flynn also stated that China was on a very dangerous path with its goal. The general also believes that the president of China is evaluating four things when determining criteria.
