Trump’s Unfounded Allegations: False Claims of AI Manipulation in Attack Ad Aimed at Damaging Image

As Trump prepares to depart Palm Beach, Lincoln Project releases its last jibe. | USA Today

On Monday night, Donald Trump launched an attack on the Lincoln Project, alleging the political advocacy group was opposed to his use of artificial intelligence to discredit the former president. The sole issue? There is no proof that the Lincoln Project’s advertisement features any footage of Trump that isn’t real.

Trump posted on his social network Truth Social late on Monday, saying, “The perverts and losers at the failed and once disbanded Lincoln Project, and others, are using AI (artificial intelligence) in their fake television commercials in order to make me look as bad and pathetic as Crooked Joe Biden, not an easy thing to do.”

Trump continued to express his displeasure that Fox News shouldn’t air Lincoln Project advertisements, possibly revealing his source for the TV spot. However, the advertisements can also be viewed online on X, the former name of Twitter, and YouTube. Additionally, it looks like they are using video of very well-known gaffes from Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign as well as his presidency.

The controversial video of Trump gazing at an eclipse opens the “Feeble” YouTube advertisement, which features a lot of other material showing people being dissatisfied with the 45th president rather than just embarrassing moments during his tenure.

When I reached out to the Lincoln Project late on Monday, a representative pointed me in the direction of a tweet from co-founder Rick Wilson that refuted Trump’s unfounded assertion that the advertisement featured artificial intelligence.

“Hey, you shambling pantloaf, we didn’t need artificial intelligence to turn you into a drooling, impotent, severely cognitively deteriorating person. You’re unable to accept reality as it was presented by @ProjectLincoln. Keep checking back for more. Wilson tweeted, “We understand you can’t turn away.

The ad’s narration implies that Joe Biden is a more masculine guy than Trump. It even cuts to stock footage of a person dispensing two blue tablets, with the obvious inference that Trump requires Viagra.

“Donald, face it. When you refer to Joe Biden as old, you are simply projecting. He is a better guy and a better president than you. He is also stronger, fitter, and wiser than you. The advertisement states, “Anyone can see it.”

And while you were by yourself, lying there at night, we’re right; you know that. Donald, you’re losing your mind. losing it. directly before our eyes,” the advertisement goes on.

Remarkably, it was Trump who employed artificial intelligence (AI) in a March Truth Social post that shared a fictitious photo of the outgoing president bending over in prayer. Using AI, the RNC produced the first-ever attack ad that imagined what a second Biden term would look like using entirely fictitious graphics. The RNC included a very brief notice stating that artificial intelligence was used to make every image.

Many people would not realize the image was made with artificial intelligence (AI) at first glance, but there is a small disclaimer in the upper left corner.

The advertisement features all of the technology’s distinguishing features. First of all, the Biden impostor has strange-looking hands.

There are also far too many visible teeth in the phony Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, which is another dead giveaway that the pictures you’re viewing were created artificially.

The principal editor of the MIT Technology Review, Mat Honan, notes that the advertisement’s geography is absurd.

Misinformation experts have issued a warning, stating that unprecedented amounts of altered media will be posted on social media sites such as Facebook, TikTok, and X during the 2024 presidential election. However, this seems to be the first instance of a candidate misrepresenting the nature of his words and actions as having been generated by AI.

In the meantime, a number of prominent media sources have published reports detailing Trump’s intentions to dismantle the civil service and replace government agency chiefs with individuals who share his extreme reading of the U.S. constitution.

In five of the six swing states that the New York Times identified as essential to capturing the presidency in 2024, Trump is polling higher than Biden. And whether you like Trump or not, that is not a fake artificial intelligence.
