Taxpayers in each state across the country are always waiting for the official announcement from their local government on matters that concern tax rebate checks. Recently, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey announced that nearly 2 million eligible taxpayers will receive tax rebate checks.
In a published article in KIPLINGER, Gov. Ivey said, “Thanks to our unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility, one-time tax rebates will be with our hard-working Alabamians in time for the holidays,” It is expected that the state will send the tax rebate checks soon.

Amount of Tax Rebate Checks
According to an article published in The U.S. Sun, eligible single taxpayers will receive an amount of up to $150, while couples jointly filing will receive $300. They will receive their checks if the Alabama Department of Revenue has their bank information, but if not, they will mail it to their addresses.
Furthermore, those who did not file their 2021 personal Alabama income tax return will not qualify for the 2023 tax rebate checks. Estates and trusts are not eligible to receive the payments. Additionally, you won’t receive a rebate payment if you were claimed as a dependent on a 2021 federal or Alabama state income tax return.
