An argument that broke out in the Back of the Yards neighborhood of the city on Sunday afternoon, following a car crash, reportedly resulted in the stabbing of a man, according to the police.
Driver Involved in the Car Crash Stabs the Other Driver and Runs Away
The incident was said to have occurred in the 4900 block of South Hermitage at approximately 1:15 p.m. A man in his twenties got out of his vehicle after getting in a car crash that the police say was quite minor and then proceeded to get into a verbal argument with the driver of the other vehicle, according to the police.
According to the authorities, the second driver involved in the car crash allegedly stabbed the victim once before returning to his vehicle and driving away from the site of the crime. The sufferer reportedly drove themselves to a nearby hospital, where their condition was reported to be stable upon arrival. As of Sunday evening, no one was being held in custody. Detectives from Area One were doing their investigation.
