In a display of the United States Navy’s naval power and capabilities, a carrier strike group known as the USS Gerald R. Ford and another American flattop recently conducted a strategic dual carrier operation in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, as reported by Yahoo News.
Last week, another carrier strike group known as the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower participated in a joint training exercise with the USS Gerald R. Ford and escorted its ships focused on high-value units.
US Navy Carrier Strike Group Joined by Two Italian Navy
According to Insider, during the joint training exercise of the two carrier strike groups, USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and USS Gerald R. Ford – another two Italian Navy frigates, ITS Virginio Fasanand ITS Carlo Margotini, also joined the exercise.
The exercise of the carrier strike group was intended to demonstrate a unified front among the allies and the ability to respond quickly during crises. Moreover, Admiral Thomas Lee stated that the exercises were a clear signal about their commitment to deterring aggression and promoting stability throughout the region.
