$6,000 for Millions of Americans
Millions of Americans can receive an amount of $6,000 as part of the class-action settlement filed against car manufacturers Hyundai and Kia. Car owners and drivers who owned and bought cars between 2011 and 2022 may qualify for this lawsuit.
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, it was found that Hyundai and Kia failed to install adequate antitheft measures. Moreover, it was also found that around 9 million Hyundai and Kia models were manufactured without an immobilizer which became the target of thieves in the last couple of years.

Initial Settlement Proposal
According to an article published in CARSCOOPS, the presiding judge of the said settlement has granted between $3,375 and $6,125 to drivers whose cars were stolen or damaged because of faulty measures, regardless of the model of the car they owned.
However, the judge took issue with the stipulation and said that all impacted drivers would receive the amount, even if the amount is significantly higher compared to the settlement money. The judge also said that he would approve a new version.
