One-Time Tax Rebate in Minnesota
Lawmakers in Minnesota passed a bill that allocated an amount of $1.1 billion to give back to the residents of the state in the form of a one-time tax rebate. After the lawmaker passed the bill, the state governor signed it immediately to help the residents who are facing financial hardships.
In a published article in PIONEER PRESS, nearly 1.8 million payments were already sent from August to September through direct deposits and checks. Those who have not yet received their payments should check and visit the website of the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Amount of One-Time Tax Rebate
According to an article published in Yahoo News, eligible residents in the state can receive an amount of up to $1,300. Here are some important details:
- $520 for married couples filing a joint 2021 income or property tax return with adjusted gross income of $150,000 or less.
- $260 for all other individuals with 2021 adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less.
- Another $260 for each dependent, up to three dependents.
Furthermore, people could not have been claimed as dependents on another filer’s tax form.
